Elora: A Gorgeous Two Day Holiday
Elora, Ontario, Canada is a scenic 19th century town approximately two hours north of Niagara Falls. While you may not be familiar with the name of the town, you might have seen it just the same. ‘An American Christmas Carol’ with Henry Winkler, ‘Angel Eyes’ with Jennifer Lopez and ‘Trapped in Paradise’ with Nicholas Cage all had scenes filmed here.
The town is steeped in both natural (the Gorge) and man-made beauty (the brightly colored shops and numerous art studios).
Spend some time enjoying the gorge. There are a number of scenic vantage points located along the route like the Gorge Lounge and Lovers Leap.
Later, tour the town with its colorful shops, boutiques and art galleries. You can also enjoy some of the outdoor amenities like fishing, tubing down the Grand River and camping.
After just a few hours in town you will feel like a completely different person – cool, calm and carefree.
